I'm a freelance journalist based out of Hong Kong. I've been writing about international issues since 1992, beginning with a trip to India that resulted in stories about the Dalai Lama's government in exile, and Mother Teresa's Home for the Dying. I worked at The Tampa Tribune for five years before venturing out on my own into the international sphere, although I've done freelancing for some years. My passion is to write about the human condition and its commonality among people of various countries. I travel with my husband, John, who's a photographer.
